Fincham Signs for Volleyball and Basketball
Ankeny, IA - Morgan Fincham, from Ankeny, IA, has committed to the Eagles Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Basketball teams, signing her letter of intent for the 2025-2026 season.
Morgan is the daughter of Brian and Sara Fincham and comes to the Eagles from coach Michelle Quick's volleyball team and coach Jon Goergen's basketball team at Ankeny Christian Academy. Morgan was an important player on both her basketball and volleyball teams at ACA, as a multiple time All-Conference, All-District, and All-State recipient, and earned several coach/team awards. She was a part of multiple Bluegrass championships in both sports, and helped make school history as her volleyball team won three straight state championships in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
"Morgan brings a wealth of experience and a winners mentality to our 2025 team." Head volleyball coach Lanny Nihart stated, "Morgan was a key player on Ankeny Christian Academy's three time state championship volleyball team. It is likely she will be used in the front court primarily at the outside or middle positions with the opportunity to be used as a server and all around player. We have known Morgan for a long period of time and are delighted to finally get her in our program."
Head basketball coach Zak Kirkman shared on Morgan, "I am excited for Morgan to be joining our program. She brings a little bit of everything to the table for our team; She has the ability to score the ball inside and out, she rebounds really well, and she was able to match up 1-5 in high school. She has a fun and competitive spirit that will easily mesh with the roster that we currently have."
When asked what she is looking forward to at Faith, Morgan shared, "Being on a team that strengthens each other and keeps Christ at the center". She hopes to bring a lot of energy and excitement to both the volleyball and basketball teams at Faith.
Morgan will pursue a degree in Biblical Studies while at Faith.
