
Eagles Come From Behind to Finish the Semester 11-1
(Dubuque, IA) - Faith women's basketball traveled to Dubuque, IA for a neutral site rematch against Kuyper College.
Friday featured a top ten clash, as Faith (ranked #4) and Kuyper (ranked #6) played each other for the second time this season.
Both teams fought to gain advantage, but the score was knotted 17-17 at the end of the first quarter. Kuyper found momentum and surged ahead for the next two quarters, leading by ten points heading into the final frame. The Cougars led by as much as 13 points and all but put the game away in the third quarter, but the Eagles found sparks of energy and the momentum began to turn in their favor.
Faith found their footing and in the final 10 minutes, outscoring the Cougars 27-7 to cruise to their 11th victory of the season. In an excellent defensive showing, Faith held the Cougars to 3-17 shooting from the field in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.
UP NEXT: Faith will play in an exhibition game against Simpson College on Saturday, December 14th before they head to Christmas break.
