Eagles Drop MCCC Games Coming Out of Break
(Kansas City, MO) - Faith women's basketball opened the semester with back to back MCCC games on the road.

The Eagles started the weekend against the 2024 MCCC tournament runners-up as they took on Calvary University on Friday.
The first eight minutes of the game saw both teams fighting for advantage, but the Warriors would pull away to finish the first quarter up 17-11. The Eagles stayed true to their game, and played a high tempo second quarter, cutting the deficit to just three going into halftime. The Eagles came out with a low scoring third quarter, and despite their best efforts were not able to complete the comeback against the Warriors. Miriam Beenken led the charge for Faith, tallying 17 points and 20 rebounds, ten of those coming from the offensive glass. Katie Costello added 14 points and 4 steals, while Mikayla Jones added 12 points of her own.
The Eagles turned around the next day with another big challenge as they took on the 4 time reigning MCCC tournament champs, Ozark Christian College.
Faith started the game similar to how they ended the previous one, coming out slow, and struggling to connect on their shot attempts. Trailing by as many as 18 points in the second quarter, the Eagles went on a run to make the game attainable going in to halftime. The second half saw an energized Faith team come out, and an even scoring effort from all players brought the Eagles within 3 points with sixteen minutes left. The Ambassadors however, would pull away, taking the MCCC victory from Faith. Mikayla Jones led the team with 19 points and 4 assists.
