
Women's Basketball Wins on the Road
(Dubuque, IA) - Faith women's basketball got back in the win column with their road win over Emmaus University on Monday.
The Eagles took the road for their second game against Emmaus University this season, after winning their first matchup 82-61 two weeks prior.
Faith cruised through the first three minutes with a 7-0 run to start the game. Although the Eagles struggled to find their rythym in the first half, they led by as many as 14 points and went into halftime leading 35-25. Unsatisfied with their first half, Faith came out swinging and ballooned their lead to 27 with five minutes left. The Eagles finished the game with the 66-44 win and the season sweep over Emmaus.
Miriam Beenken set the tone for the Eagles, stuffing the stat sheet with 17 points, 17 rebounds (11 offensive), 5 assists, 5 steals, and 3 blocks. Katie Costello added 18 points, 5 assists, 4 steals, and Mikayla Jones rounded out the bulk of the scoring for Faith with 17 points.
