
Pearson Signs Letter of Intent
Ankeny, IA - Garrett Pearson, from Ankeny, IA, has committed to the Eagle’s Men’s Basketball Team, signing his letter of intent for the 2024-2025 season.
Garrett is the son of Chris and Rachel Pearson and comes to the Eagles from coach Jay Nihart's team at Ankeny Christian Academy. He was the South Dakota State Runner-Up and 3x State Qualifier, and All-Conference Honorable Mention. Averaging 49.2% FGP, Garret has 127 points, 85 rebounds, 60 assists, 22 steals, and 9 blocks for the season. He has also been an excellent student being a part of the National Honor Society, a 2x Scholar-Athlete recipient, earning Merit and Honor Rolls, and participating in the Student Council Outstanding Leadership program.
"I've really enjoyed watching Garrett develop over the past two years under Coach Nihart's leadership. Garrett has put in the work to become a better player on both ends of the court which resulted in an excellent senior season for him," stated Eagle's head coach Brian Fincham. " I'm excited to see him bring that work ethic and passion to our team. He comes from a great family and I'm sure will continue the excellent contributions to our program that his brothers and other family members have given during their time with us. Garrett loves the Lord and will be a great addition to our program and team culture."
Garrett is looking forward to the fellowship with friends and being a part of a sports team while at Faith. He hopes to bring positivity, energy, and cohesiveness to the Eagle's team this fall.
Garrett will pursue a degree in Organizational Leadership while at Faith.
