
LaFleur Signs Letter of Intent
Ankeny, IA - Asa LaFleur, from Bondurant, IA, has committed to the Eagle’s Men’s Basketball Team, signing his letter of intent for the 2024-2025 season.
Asa is the son of Tim and Renee LaFleur and comes to the Eagles from coach Shawn VanDerHart's team in Des Moines, IA. Asa has been a key player for the Warriors, earning the Pathway Christian Tournament MVP, All-Iowa Homeschool Tournament MVP, and 2x All-Tournament Team at the Faith Invitational Tournament. He averaged 16.2 ppg, 8.3 rpg, and 2.7 apg during his senior season. LaFleur was a career 1,000 pt scorer for the Warriors. Not only has Asa been impactful on the court, but also off the court earning the Christian Character Award.
"Asa brings a level of intensity and passion to the court that will be a big asset for our program," stated Eagle's head coach Brian Fincham. "I've enjoyed watching Asa grow and mature as a player over the past several years in Coach VanderHart's program and I'm excited to have him join us. He plays with energy and enthusiasm and his desire to pursue Christ and grow in his walk with Him fits perfectly with our team culture."
Asa is most looking forward to being alongside like-minded Christians and receiving Biblical teaching. He hopes to bring energy, encouragement, and a passion to be more like Christ through basketball.
Asa will pursue a 2 Year Biblical Studies degree while at Faith.
