
Women's Volleyball Signs Nerem
Ankeny, IA - Qwynn Nerem, from Alleman, IA, has committed to the Eagles Women’s Volleyball team, signing her letter of intent for the 2025 season.
Qwynn is the daughter of Bobby and Megan Nerem and comes to the Eagles from coach Steve Baas' team at North Polk High School. In her time with the comets, Qwynn accumulated 900 assists, 417 digs, and 95 aces. She served as team captain her senior year, and was named to the All-Conference team two times. Outside of Volleyball, Qwynn is on the Gold honor roll, All-State academic, and has earned awards in softball as well.
Qwynn shared her excitement in attending Faith, "I'm looking forward to growing in my knowledge of God, while equipping myself to better serve God and his people. I'm also very excited for the people and learning from the professors!" She added, "I hope to bring my passion and knowledge of the game of volleyball along with an encouraging spirit to help support my team to better reflect Christ through our sport."
"Qwynn is a talented setter and has competed at a high level in the Iowa highschool level." Stated Coach Lanny Nihart, "She has the ability to direct the offense and get the ball to the hitters in a good spot. Qwynn can set from any area of the court which will give us an advantage when we need the ball to move quickly. Whether in a 5-1 or 6-2 formation we anticipate Qwynn contributing."
Qwynn will pursue a 2 Year Biblical Studies degree while at Faith.
