
Women's Volleyball Falls to Mission University
(Springfield, MO) - Faith women's volleyball once again matched up well against a bigger program.
The Eagles came out and competed against Mission University, another dual affiliate of the NCCAA (Division 1) and NAIA.
In a match that lasted two hours and went to four sets, the Eagles never saw the win too far out of reach. With set scores of 23-25, 28-26, 23-25, 16-25 in favor of the home team, Faith competed well throughout the match as they prepare to start MCCC play this weekend.
Codie Wirges and Belle Wirges combined for 18 kills to lead the Eagles offensively while Maddie Hofmann once against reached a career mark with 35 digs. Victoria Nerem and Lainey Murphy added 15 and 19 assists respectively and the Eagles brought down 16 blocks as a team. Faith will play two more games on the road before they return home to host the Faith Classic next Friday and Saturday (9/20-9/21).
