(Ankeny, IA) - The Faith Eagles women's volleyball team began their season with a strong victory, defeating Union Adventist University from Lincoln, NE, in straight sets.
The Eagles claimed the match with scores of 26-24, 25-14, and 25-17, showcasing their dominance on both offense and defense. Cody Wirges was a standout performer, leading the team with 12 kills and 14 digs. Her efforts were complemented by Victoria Nerem, who skillfully managed the offense with 18 assists.
The first set was a nail-biter, with Faith narrowly edging out Union Adventist 26-24. However, the Eagles found their rhythm in the second set, pulling away with a convincing 25-14 win.
