
Eagles Split Tuesday Matches
(York, NE) - The Faith women's volleyball team saw success on Tuesday as they rematched against Union, and played York (NCCAA D1) for the first time this season.

The Eagles came into Tuesday ready to see where they matched up against a bigger program as they took on York University, who is a dual affiliate of the NCCAA (Division 1) and the NAIA.
Faith stayed close throughout the match and was able to take a set from York in the 3-1 loss. Belle Wirges led the Eagles with 9 kill and 3 blocks, while Victoria Nerem added 12 assists and 15 digs.
The Eagles then took on Union, and won the match 3-0, completing the season sweep over the Warriors. Victoria Nerem and Lainey Murphy combined for 34 assists, while Maddie Hofmann tallied 16 digs.
Codie Wirges tied her career high with 17 kills against Union, a mark she's reached twice before (Sept. 15, 2023 vs Calvary, Oct. 10, 2023 vs Emmaus). Belle Wirges added another 9 kills to total 18 on the day.
