Women's Soccer End of Season Review
Walk Worthy was our theme this year, based on Ephesians 4. We purposed to walk in unity, purity, love, light, and wisdom. We strived to play worthy of the calling to which we have been called. With this purpose, we were able to keep the faith through a difficult season of results.
With 9 new players on the team, it took time to figure out everyone's best position and find the chemistry needed for consistency on the field. We played good soccer but didn't see the fruit, in regards to wins, until the end of the season - which is a great time to peak as a team.
The biggest success of the season was how the team sharpened each other spiritually. Here is a quote from one of the players from our end of year survey:
"My Christian character was strengthened throughout the season by the iron-sharpening-iron environment of the team. Having coaches and teammates constantly pointing me back to Christ was helpful in the consistency of keeping me accountable. This season strengthened me more as a whole person."
