Women's Soccer Signs Stephens
Ankeny, IA – Kayla Stephens, of Plymouth, MN has committed to the Eagle women's soccer program, signing her letter of intent Saturday for the 2022 season.
Kayla is the daughter of Jeremy and Sarah Stephens, and comes to the Eagle's from coach Jared Page and Jeremy Stephens' Fourth Baptist Christian School Warriors' program. Kayla plays forward for the Warriors.
Kayla is a multi-sport athlete, earning recognition during her high school career as a first team all conference volleyball player and as a second team all conference basketball player. She scored 5 goals over four games during the 2021 season and is looking forward to building on that success in her senior season.
When asked about her decision to attend Faith, Kayla said "I am looking forward to getting to know the girls on campus and growing close relationships with the girls on the soccer team. I hope to help the team out by bringing speed and shooting accuracy at the top of the formation!"
"We are excited to be adding Kayla to our soccer family. She has great character - something we look for in every athlete. She brings an attackers mindset up front mixed with some great athleticism," noted Eagles head coach Zack Barron.
Kayla will be pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Sports Management.
