
Eagles Notch 3rd Conference Win
The Eagles bounced back from a tough weekend in their home game against conference opponent, Emmaus Bible College.
Ankeny, IA - Coming out with a lot of energy, the Eagles picked up the lead 12-8 at the end of the first quarter. Not backing down, the Emmaus women's team would hold the Eagles to 7 points to take them into the half. Coming out of halftime leading 19-15, the Eagles needed to maintain a tough defensive end to continue to maintain their lead. Struggling on the offensive end, the Eagles only notched 8 points during the 3rd quarter. Both teams found themselves with their highest scoring quarter in the 4th, with the Eagles scoring 16 and the Emmaus women scoring 13. The Eagles were victorious 43-35.
A key performance from Mikayla Jones with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals was vital to the success of the Eagles for this game. Rachel Forgie followed with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
