Eagles Fall to Tigers
The Eagles matched up against a new opponent, the Tigers of Marshalltown Community College in their final game of the semester.
Ankeny, IA- Lady Eagles came out firing. Scoring 19 points in the first quarter, the Eagles were looking good and moving the ball even better. Unfortunately, this momentum did not carry over into the second quarter, where the Eagles would score only 2 points to the Tigers 16.
The Eagles made adjustments at the half and came out swinging in the third quarter. Out-scoring the Tigers 18-13, the Eagles were back in the game. Unable to protect the paint, the Eagles would find themselves within five points of the Tigers with just minutes left on the clock, but could not get over the deficit. The Eagles lost 57-49.
