Eagles Overcome Saints in Electric Home Game

Ankeny, IA- This game took place during the 2024 Midwest Invitational High School Basketball Tournament, creating an electric environment for the Eagles to compete in.
The Eagles completed the first quarter of the game trailing the Saints by two points. Cracking down on the defensive end, the Eagles kept the Saints to 7 points in the second quarter to find themselves up by one at the half.
Coming out of halftime the Eagles knew they needed to step it up a notch on the offensive end. Kicking it into gear, the fourth quarter sealed the win for the Eagles as they scored a season high of 25 points, keeping the Saints to 14 quarter points. Finishing the game off at 54-45 the Eagles picked up their fourth conference win.
Large performances by Rachel Forgie (16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks), Mikayla Jones (14 points, 4 steals), and Codie Wirges (9 points, 4 steals) were key to the Eagles success.
