Faith came into Saturday's game with a sense of urgency that carried them through a hard-fought 90 minutes. Providence scored early in the 10th minute, but the Eagles would not be shaken as they made every offensive advance from the Pilots difficult, which led to just 6 total shots on goal for Providence. Faith found ways to push forward and create scoring opportunities for themselves, but ultimately could not land any of their attempts, leading to the 1-0 loss.
The Eagles showed improvement from Thurday's loss to Dallas Christian, giving themselves opportunities to score throughout the entire game, and pressuring their opponent for the full 90 minutes.
Faith falls to, 0-2-0, and well have plenty of time to prepare before their next game, Saturday, September 7th, at 3:30 p.m. on the road at North Central University.
