The Faith Eagles men's soccer team opened their season with a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Dallas Christian College, a top NCCAA II team from last year, on Pyche Field in Ankeny, IA.

Dallas Christian struck first in the 34th minute, but Faith responded swiftly with a diving header from Jermaine Boyd just three minutes later, assisted by Silas Tolosa. The teams went into halftime tied at 1-1.
In the second half, both teams created scoring opportunities. It was Dallas Christian who found the breakthrough, though, when they were awarded a penalty kick in the 67th minute that ultimately decided the match.
