Four Men Selected to All Region Team
Four Eagle men were recognized for their on the field play this year with selections to the 2012 NCCAA II North Central All Region Team. Matt Brace, Michael Craig, and Aaron Jones, and Adam Jones were chosen by the North Central Region coaches for honors. Brace, a sophomore in the two year Bible program, played both defense and midfield for the Eagles this year. Matt notched one goal and had three assists on the season. Michael Craig, a senior goalkeeper, received his second consecutive selection to the All Region team. Craig recorded four shutouts on the year. Aaron Jones returned to the Eagles lineup this year after two years away from the program. Aaron played sweeper for the Eagles, but still managed to score five goals on the year. Aaron is a sophomore in the two year Bible program. Adam Jones led the team in goals scored with nine, while adding two assists.
All four men, along with the rest of the fall sports teams and post-season award recipients will be formally recognized at the Athletic Department's annual Fall Sports Athletic Awards Fellowship. That event will be held on Thursday, November 15th, at 6:00 PM in classrooms 103-105 of the Nettleton Center. All are invited to attend and help recognize the athletes for their academic and athletic achievements this year.
