Multiple PR's Set at Dan Huston Invite
WAVERLY, Iowa--The course was in great shape at Wartburg College in Waverly, but the air was humid and heavy, which made for less than ideal running conditions.
The men's race was first, with Josiah Brown leading the way with a new season PR of 30:25. Ethan Wooten was not far behind with a time of 31:04. Both started out strong with a 5:45 first mile, and finished strong with a 5:34 (Josiah) and 5:52 (Ethan) last mile.
The women were up next, and Laney Jones once again finished in the top position for the Faith Eagles. Laney improved her 6k season PR time by over a minute and a half, posting a time of 28:33. Emily Anderson was next for the Eagles with a season PR of 31:34. Unfortunately, Rachel Franklin was taken out halfway through the race by a sideache and wasn't able to finish.
The team is looking forward to a weekend off to celebrate Faith's 100-year celebration! The Eagles return to action on Friday October 15 in Ottumwa for the Indian Hills Invitational Meet.
