An early season road trip to begin the season didn't start the way they hoped, but the Faith Eagles women's soccer team learned from their trials what they need to work on moving forward. Faith lost to Providence University on Thursday afternoon, 4-1, and Crown College on Friday, 6-0.
Not much went right either day for the Eagles, who struggled both offensively and defensively, allowing 10 goals in two days. Unfortunately for Faith, they will need to figure out a new strategy against Crown College as they turn around and play them again in Ankeny on Saturday, September 10.
Things don't get easier on the schedule. The Eagles return home for a Tuesday match against Rochester Community and Technical College. RCTC is ranked in the top ten nationally in their division and defeated Crown College 1-0 last week. Game time is 5 p.m.
