Lady Eagles Drop Game to North Central
The Faith Baptist Bible College women's basketball team (1-9) hosted region opponent #6 ranked North Central University on Saturday, December 14th. Faith lost the games the game 45-70. Faith is now 1-10 on the year.
The Lady Eagles were able to get a quick basket to start the game going up 2-0. North Central was able to take the lead and go up 21-10 in the first 10 minutes of the game. Faith hung around pulling to within five points down 21-26. North Central was able to finish the half on a 12-0 run taking a 38-21 half time lead. In the second half, Faith was able to keep the game from breaking out by scoring 24 points in the second half to North Central's 32. Laura Garwick and Ashley Pearson led Faith in scoring with 11 points each. Ashley grabbed 12 rebounds to record her fourth double double and Laura Garwick grabbed 10 rebounds to record her sixth double double. Kelsey Grider had 10 points but was limited to 15 minutes of play do to foul trouble.
The Ladye Eagles' next game is in the new year on Tuesday, January 14th vs. Lincoln Christian University. This game is in Ankeny, IA and will tip off at 5:30 PM.
