Lady Eagles Win First Half but Fall Short in the End
The Lady Eagles opened the 2014 NCCAA II North Central Regional tournament with a semi-final game against Trinity Bible College. Faith has the privilege of hosting the tournament this year, and came in as the #4 seed versus the top seeded Lady Lions. The Lady Eagles continued to show improvement, going toe to toe with the Lions, but eventully ran out of gas, falling 41-74. The Lady Eagles end their season with an overall mark of 4-22.
Faith went back and forth matching basket for basket and went into the half with a lead 27-26. The second half was much more difficult as Trinity played like the number one seed and won the half 48-14. "I was very proud of our effort. We did not expect to have a lead in the game, let alone in the entire first half, so that was very encouraging," said Coach Rosekopf.
Faith was led in scoring by Laura Garwick with 22 points. Ashley Pearson led the team with nine ebounds. Kelsey Grider had five blocks to go along with seven points.
