
Benson Commits to the Eagles
Ankeny, IA - Annalis Benson has committed to the Eagle’s Women’s Soccer team, signing her letter of intent for the 2024 season.
Annalis is the daughter of Micah and AJ Benson and comes to the Eagles from coach AJ Benson's team at Lake Region Christian School. Annalis has been an instrumental player for the Hornets as the Captain for the '23 and '24 seasons as well as receiving the Soccer MVP award ('24). Annalis holds the school record as career leader in goals scored.
Annalis has also received the Lake Region Christian School Christian Character Award ('23) and the 2024 MACS Fine Arts Festival First Place for Acrylic Painting.
When asked what she was most looking forward to at Faith she said, "Growing in my faith in God and building new relationships." She hopes to bring a good work ethic, leadership, and encouragement to the team. Annlis is determined to make an impact and will work hard to push herself and her team towards success.
"The coaches and I are very excited about the addition of Annalis to our team and program," stated Eagle's head coach Zack Barron. "Annalis will bring a great technical foundation to our team on the ball. She will add to our attack with her speed and ability to combine with teammates to score goals. We are also excited to see her grow on and off the field with her strong work ethic and desire to keep getting better in all aspects of life."
Annalis will pursue a degree in Biblical Counseling while at Faith.
