Faith managed to salvage a tie on Thursday when they hosted Spurgeon College.

Ankeny, IA - Despite outshooting the visitors 21-2, including 15-0 in the first half, Faith ended up drawing with the visiting Knights of Spurgeon College Thursday evening.
Faith was very aggressive in the first half, earning 15 shots, but struggled to finish. Faith scored once off those 15 opportunities and took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break off a well-placed shot from just outside the 18 by freshman Emma Boldt.
Spurgeon came out aggressively to start the second half, resulting in a goal for the visitors just four minutes into the half. Faith responded quickly, as Demi Del Prior scored off an assist by Eliana Fritz. The game settled in from there, with neither team earning many chances. It appeared Faith might hold on for the one-goal victory, but with six minutes to play in the match, Spurgeon managed to break down the Eagle defense for their second goal of the match. Faith was unable to find the game-winner in the final six minutes and settled for the draw.
Faith returns to action on Thursday, October 5, when they will host Manhattan Christian College in a 4 PM match.
