Ankeny, IA - The Eagles opened their 2023 season Thursday at home against the defending national champion Pilots of Providence University College. The visitors showed why they will again be a force to reckon with, as they defeated the Eagles 8-0. Providence opened a quick 3-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of play and never looked back. The Eagles struggled to develop any attack during the half and the Pilots held a commanding 5-0 lead at the half. Providence tacked on three more in the second half for the final 8-0 result.
The Eagles are back in action at home on Saturday, when they will host Maranatha Baptist University. That game will kick off at noon.
