Freeman Signs Letter of Intent
Ankeny, IA – Seth Freeman has committed to the Eagle men's basketball program, signing his letter of intent Tuesday for the 2021-2022 season.
Seth is the son of Dan and Jenny Freeman, and comes to the Eagles from head coach Doug Sidlinger's East Moline Christian team. Due to covid restrictions, Seth's team was unable to compete for his senior season, but during his junior season, Seth led the team in steals, assists, and points. Freeman was selected as an all-tournament member of the Berean Baptist Tip Off Classic and was a First Team All-State selection for the Illinois Association of Christian Schools.
Seth was on pace to score 1,000 points in his career before the COVID pandemic derailed his senior season. He connected on 38% of his shots beyond the arc during his junior season, shot 46% overall, scored 365 points, grabbed 124 total rebounds, nabbed 98 steals, and handed out 73 assists. The East Moline Christian School athletic program recognized Seth's sportsmanship and leadership on and off the court by selecting him as the school's Eagle Award recipient his junior year.
"It's been a privilege to get to know Seth. His work ethic is impressive, but even more impressive is his desire to serve the Lord with his life. Seth is exactly the kind of student-athlete we are looking for at Faith and I'm excited to have him join our team," noted Coach Fincham.
When asked about his decision to attend Faith, Seth said "I'm most looking forward to growing in my walk with God through the solid Bible teaching I will be under as a student and the consistent support for my Christian walk I will receive while attending. I look forward to bringing a winning work ethic to the basketball team and playing in an atmosphere that wants to win and play the game the right way."
Seth plans to pursue a degree in Pastoral Studies.
