Eagle Men Return Home with Win
The Eagle men returned to their home court this past Tuesday night, earning a win over visiting Nebraska Chrisitian College. The Eagles finished the game with an 86-70 victory, pushing their overall record to 12-7.
Faith jumped out to an 11-0 lead and maintained that lead for the next several minutes. The Eagles used the opportunity to get the entire bench some minutes during the first half. A late push by Nebraska pulled the visitor to within four, 33-29, at the break. The Eagles quickly pushed the lead to double digits to start the second half, leading by as much as 22 as the Eagles again got everyone in on the action.
Cody Chaffin led all scorers with 26 points. Aaron Leistikow and Timothy O'Tool each recorded a double double. Leistikow finished with 17 and 14, while O'Tool had 14 and 10. John Acree gave a nice spark off the bench, scoring 12. Jordan Marshall handed out 10 assists while grabbing three steals.
The Eagles finish our their home regular season schedule with two big Midwest Christian College Conference games. On Friday night, the Eagles will host Ozark Christian College. Should the Eagles win that game, along with their game on Saturday with Calvary Bible, Faith would finish second in the Conference. A loss in either or both games will drop the Eagles to a third place regular season and conference tournament seed.
Friday's game with Ozark will tip at 7:30 PM. Saturday's against Calvary will begin at 4:00 PM.
