Carlie Blevins Earns NCCAA National Honor
Carlie Blevins, a Freshman on the Faith Eagles women's cross country team has earned NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career.
In just her first collegiate race, Carlie placed 7th overall while running against mostly NAIA/NCAA D3 competition. Her final time of 19:56.1 places her as the top runner in the NCCAA D2, and 18 seconds away from setting a new school record (currently held by Wendy Busenitz; 19:38.2).
With her time, Carlie reached the individual qualifying time for NCCAA Nationals, and helped lead the women's cross country team to a qualifying time of 1:59:55.
