ANKENY, Iowa-
The women's volleyball team had a rough start to last night's game against the Waldorf Warriors. Waldorf won the first five points of the first set before freshman Morgan Stephens stopped their streak with a kill. The competition was difficult, but the Eagles didn't give up easily. The Warriors won the first match 25-15.
The Eagle women started off the second match with an amazing kill by Rachel Kleczka. The girls kept the game interesting by getting in a couple more great kills against the Warriors. Despite their effort, the match ended with another loss for the Eagles at 25-10.
In the third set, the Eagles played with renewed energy. With five kills and a set of aces by Stephanie Hemsworth and Morgan Stephens, the girls brought the game to life. They finished the last match strongly but lost 25-19 against the Warriors.
The Eagles will be playing their next game against Union College at Ankeny Christian Academy tonight at 6:00 p.m.
