NCCAA Nationals Day 2
(Columbia, SC) - Hannah Wernli kicked off day two with solid performances in her remaining Heptathlon events, coming away with another school record and a 4th place finish.
Wernli had a solid showing in her first three events of the day, placing 3rd in Long Jump (4.61m), throwing a season high in Javelin (19.43m), and breaking her personal reacord in the 800m Run by over 20 seconds. Throughout the tow day event, Hannah set 3 new personal records (High Jump, Shot Put, 800m), which was enough to give her a 4th place finish out of 10 competitors between NCCAA Division I and II. Wernli also set a new school record of 3334 in the Heptathlon, breaking her previous record by 649 points.

Following the Heptathlon, the Eagles saw four top-15 finishes from Eli Boatman (Discus // 38.66m), Cade Cooper (High Jump // 1.80m, Long Jump // 6.24m), Hannah Wernli (100mH Prelims // 17.81). Sierra Pearson advanced to the 100mH finals taking place on Friday due to a timing error in her heat, adding a third event to her Friday total. Sadie Van Der Molen placed 21st in Discus, throwing 29.38m, and Katie Costello placed 7th in her heat and 20th overall in the 100m Dash with a time of 13.49.
The Eagles will finish their time at Nationals on Friday, starting the day with a 4x100 Relay, beginning at 11:10am (CST)/12:10pm (EST)
