Sanders Signs with Eagles
Ankeny, IA – Cade Sanders, of Owatonna, MN, has committed to the Eagle men's soccer program, signing his letter of intent Saturday for the 2021-2022 season.
Cade is the son of Caleb and Sarah Sanders, and comes to the Eagle's from coach Bernie Boldt, David Levy, and Brett Larson's Owatonna Christian program. Sanders had a successful senior season in which he received recognition as an all tournament and all conference player in the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools. Sanders was also successful in the classroom, receiving recognition as a scholar athlete.
The on campus experience is what sold Cade on Faith. When asked, he said "I'm looking forward to meeting people and creating new friendships!" When asked about joining the team, Cade said "I hope to be a valuable asset to the team culture and relationships….I also hope to develop into more of a leader on the team, but I expect to learn much in my first year."
"After losing three senior defenders to graduation, Cade has the opportunity to fill one of those roles and contribute to the team immediately and significantly this fall. He is a solid player with a good mix of skill, athleticism, and experience. I am looking forward to working with him and helping him develop both on and off the field while he is at Faith.," noted Eagles head coach Gary Backous.
Cade will be pursuing a Biblical World View certificate or a degree in Organizational Leadership.
