Eagles fall to 0-2 with Loss to Kansas Christian
ANKENY, Iowa—Kansas Christian College struck early and often against the Faith Eagles men's soccer team in their home opener Tuesday night. Faith fell by the score of 7-1, dropping them to 0-2 on the season.
Kansas Christian's first goal came in the first minute and a half of the game—an ominous sign that played itself out the rest of the way. Their speed and quickness on the edge, along with some defensive miscues, led to six Falcons goals in the first half. Despite the lopsided outcome, the Eagles scored their first goal of the season at the 31 minute mark in the first half off an unassisted goal from Hanan Lindow.
The good news for the Eagles was they did a much better job of controlling the ball on offense. Faith managed seven shots on goal, compared to just one in the first game.
The Eagles play their first two conference games of the season on Friday and Saturday this week during Homecoming. Friday's game is at 2 p.m. against Manhattan Christian College (0-1). Saturday's game is at 1 p.m. against Barclay (0-0).
