The Lady Eagles were back at home Tuesday night after a disappointing loss over the weekend. Faith took on Union College of Lincoln, NE, the third meeting between the two teams this season. The Eagles would repeat the results of the previous two meetings and defeat Union in straight sets.
Faith started off strong in the first set, winning by the large margin of 25-11, and the second set would be no different. The Eagles jumped out to an early lead and took set two 25-14. Although the third set looked as if it would be more of the same, Faith allowed Union to make a late run and put themselves back in the game. Union pulled to within four, but Faith would hold out for a 25-20 victory.
Abby Booth and Charity Appell led the Eagles with 7 kills each. Bekah Smith followed close behind with 6 kills, and libero Cara Hodak earned 12 digs. Faith is back in action Thursday night at home against Grinnell College (Grinnell, IA).
