Men's Soccer Team Selected as NISOA Sportsmanship Recipients
The Faith men's soccer team continues to receive recognition for their outstanding play even after the season has completed. The most recent recognition comes in the form of their selection as the recipients of the NISOA Sportsmanship Award at the NCCAA II national tournament.
The award is selected by a vote of the NISOA officials who work the tournament and is based on a points system. Faith was one of eight teams who advanced to the National Championship and were eligible for the award. The award recognizes the teams sportsmanship as observed by the officials throughout the tournament.
Faith had a magical season, advancing to the national tournament for the first time since 2003. The team set 13 school records including most wins and fewest losses and finished #6 in the nation at the tournament. Team keeper David Levy was selected to the national All Tournament team and was also selected as an NCCAA II 2nd Team All American.
