The Eagle men cruised to their 7th win in a row Friday night, defeating visiting Calvary Bible College 3-0. Faith stands at 7-0-0 on the year and 2-0-0 in the conference with the win.
Faith controlled the game from start to finish, mounting several dangerous attacks including one off the opening kick off. Nine minutes in Andrew Young rocketed a shot into the back of the net off a cross from Chase Clark to put Faith up 1-0. Eight minutes later Joseph Frerichs lofted a ball high in the air over the keepers outstretched arms from 40 yards out to push the Eagle lead to 2-0. Faith continued to control possession, eventually leading to a Clark score on a short cross from Cole Glanzer with 10 minutes left in the half, giving Faith the comfortable 3-0 lead going into the break. In the second half, Faith continued to control possession while getting everyone significant opportunities to play. Faith maintained their 3-0 advantage throghout, keeping Calvary from gaining any significant scoring chances and winning 3-0. Faith outshot Calvary 30-3 in the game.
The Eagles get right back at it Saturday afternoon when they will host Ozark Christian College in a tough match up. Both teams are currently tied for first in the conference. That game will kick off at 2:30 PM.
