Cross Country Places Four Medalists at Last Chance Meet
JOPLIN, Missouri--It was a beautiful, crisp morning in Joplin, Missouri, at the Ozark Christian College Last Chance Meet on Saturday, October 29. It was nice to face off with several schools that our athletes matched up well against. The schools competing with us were Ozark Christian College, Barclay, Lyon College, and Kansas Christian College.
Due to other commitments, we only had three women and four men competing on Saturday. Out of the 11 women racing, Caressa Kluver placed third in 25:27, Valerie Busenitz placed fourth in 26:12, and MaryAnn Hendrickson placed eighth in 32:39. Out of the 18 men competing, David Loveall placed second in 29:59, Conrad Lobb placed fourth in 30:17, Ben Hackley placed thirteenth in 36:17, and Andy Hackley placed fourteenth in 36:36.
It was fun to see four of our athletes take home medals for their individual places! Everyone ran well and enjoyed a great race to finish the regular season.
"We are now focusing on the NCCAA National Meet on November 11," said Coach Long. "Please pray with us for good health and healing over the next couple of weeks as we finish training to do our best for God's glory!"
