Loveall and Lobb Named All-Region at North Region Meet
It was an amazingly warm and sunny day on Saturday for the second running of the NCCAA North Region Cross Country Meet! The course around Faith's campus was in great shape. It was fun to host five other schools from the region and it helped to see some of the competitors Faith will race against at Nationals in a few weeks.
The women's race started at 11 a.m., and included the highlight of the day with a PR from Valerie Busenitz. Her time of 25:48 was nearly a minute faster than her previous PR, and puts her just a little over a minute away from joining Caressa Kluver and Kristin Yuan at the NCCAA Nationals event.
The men ran at noon, and competed well despite the high temperatures. The top seven runners in each race received a plaque and All-Region honors. Faith took home two of those awards. David Loveall finished third with a time of 30:09, and Conrad Lobb finished fourth with a time of 30:31. Congratulations to both of them!
The Eagles have one more regular season meet at Ozark Christian College on Saturday, October 29, then head to Joplin again in the middle of November for Nationals. Please pray for healing of injuries and good health to finish out the season well. Thank you to all of our fans who came out to cheer on the teams on Saturday as they used their talents for God's glory!
