Murphy Signs With Eagles
Ankeny, IA - Delainey Murphy, from Des Moines, IA, has committed to the Eagle’s Women’s Volleyball team, signing her letter of intent for the 2024 season.
Delainey is the daughter of Chris and Janessa Murphy and comes to the Eagle's from Grand View Christian School. Delainey has been a tremendous part of her high school team, holding a total of 1,822 career assists and standing at second for assists in Grand View Christian's school history. Delainey also received 2A All-District Team in her 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Delainey is excited to play sports, meet new friends, and to grow in her faith. She will bring a lot of encouragement and energy to the Eagle's team.
"We are excited to have Delainey joining our 2024 volleyball team this fall. She brings great experience in the area of setting and team offense and can also be a versatile defensive player," noted coach Lanny Nihart. " Delainey has played at a high level of competition having participated at a strong volleyball program at Grandview Christian. Her experience will help her in making the transition to college level and help our volleyball program to maintain a competitive culture. Delainey is also the daughter of one of our former volleyball alumni Janessa (Blunk) Murphy! It is great to have the generation factor, we are thrilled she has chosen to be a Faith Eagle!"
Delainey will pursue a degree in Elementary Education while at Faith.
