Women's Soccer Falls in North Region Semifinal
(St. Bonifacius, MN) - Faith women's soccer entered the North Region Tournament as the #2 seed, taking on the host school, Crown College.
The Eagles played well against Crown in their semifinal match, holding the Polars to one first half goal. Faith matched the Polars intensity, recording five SOG throughout the game, giving them ample chances to score.
Eliana Fritz put the Eagles on the board, scoring 9 minutes into the second half to bring the score to 2-1 in favor of the home team. Crown added two more goals and took the 4-1 victory in the semifinal match.
Despite the loss, Faith competed hard against the Polars, giving them a solid shot at making the Regional championship match.
Faith placed four players on the All-North Region team: Sharon Yuan (1st team), Eliana Fritz (1st team), Brenna Penrod (honorable mention), Evelyn Holbert (honorable mention), Abigail Speichinger (honorable mention), and Kristin Yuan (honorable mention).
