With minimal time to make adjustments from the weekend, the Eagles came into Monday looking to get back into the win column before their next North Region match this weekend.
Faith took control of the game with an early goal from Emma Boldt in the 4th minute, and never looked back. The Eagles found plenty of offensive opportunites, outshooting Blackburn 23-0 in the first half, but they were unable to connect on any attempts until the 41st minute when Kayla Stephens scored off a pass from Sharon Yuan. The Eagles headed into the second half up 2-0 and continued to retain possession for most of the game. While Faith continued to outshoot their opponent, they once again struggled to connect on their shot attempts throughout the half. Sharon Yuan scored her first career goal with 4 minutes to go to close out the scoring, and Faith walked away with the 3-0 victory over Blackburn.
Up Next: The Eagles take the road for the first time this season as they head to Minneapolis for a Regional match against North Central University on Saturday, September 2nd at 1:00 PM.
