Pearson Signs Letter of Intent
Ankeny, IA - Sierra Pearson, from Corning, IA, has committed to the Eagles Women’s Track and Field team, signing her letter of intent for the 2024-2025 season.
Sierra is the daughter of Curt and Angie Pearson and comes to the Eagles from coaches Jason Hults and Cameron Kiner's team at Southwest Valley High School. Sierra has been a valuable member of her track team and holds the high school's record for the 100m hurdles and the shuttle hurdles (17.2). Sierra has earned the awards Most Versatile Athlete and Specialist Award.
When asked what she is looking forward to at Faith she said, "[The] Gospel preaching and safe environment as you take a big step into a new chapter of life." Sierra will bring encouragement and a desire to compete and glorify God to the Eagle's track team.
"I am very excited to have Sierra join our group of strong women sprinters on the Faith Track and Field team!" stated Eagle's head coach Ryan Long. "Her success in the hurdles, along with her relay experience coming in will be a great asset to our team!"
Sierra will pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education while at Faith.
