Gossett, Coons, and Borghesani Sign for the Eagles
Men's soccer signs 6 players for the 2023-2024 season.
Ankeny, IA – William Gossett, of Pheonix, Arizona has committed to the Eagle men's soccer program, signing his letter of intent for the 2023-2024 season.
William is the son of Travis and Cheryl Gossett, and comes to the Eagles from coach Randall Goins high school team at Arrowhead Christian Academy. Gossett has been a leader for his team and has earned both leadership and perseverance awards. He is most looking
forward to the Christ-centered atmosphere at Faith.
"I am excited about the skill and athleticism Will brings. He was a prolific scorer in high school and I am optimistic that he will pick up this fall right where he left off as an attacking threat," noted coach Gary Backous.
William will pursue a 1 Year Bible Program while at Faith.
David Coons, of Big Lake, MN, has committed to the Eagle men's soccer program, signing his letter of intent for the 2023-2024 season.
David is the son of Darin and April Coons and comes to the Eagles from coach Caleb Dickens' high school team St. Francis Christian School. David is excited to grow in his faith and athletic skills with the Eagle's men's soccer team.
"I am excited about the athleticism and energy he will bring to Faith," noted coach Gary Backous. "David has a high soccer IQ and is a versatile player who is able to fill any gaps we have in the starting 11 this fall." David will bring a hard work ethic to the men's team this fall.
David will pursue a degree in Pastoral Studies while at Faith.
Nick Borghesani has committed to the Eagle men's soccer program, signing his letter of intent for the 2023-2024 season.
Nick is the son of David and Pamela Borghesani and comes to the Eagles from coach Andrew Joseph's high school, Westfield High School. At Faith, Borghasani is "looking forward to digging deeper into the Bible. I would like to be a better vessel for Christ in my home church." Nick is excited to bring his positivity, encouragement, and hard work to the FBBC men's soccer team.
"Nick is a talented and technical player with the ability to make an impact on the team from day one," noted coach Gary Backous. "I am excited about the energy and positivity he will bring. Nick will be a great addition to the team."
Nick will be pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership while at Faith.
