The Eagle men fought hard on the road this past Saturday in a regional road contest with North Central University. Faith came up short on the night 63-83, as a cold shooting night was too much to overcome. Faith is now 1-8 on the year.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 8-4 lead three minutes into the game. North Central tied the game up at 11 apiece three minutes later, then went on a 7-0 run to lead by eight as the Eagles began to struggle from the floor. Faith cut it back to three, 22-19, but again North Central took advantage of poor shooting, re-taking a nine point lead on another 7-0 run. North Central pushed the lead to 14 before Faith briefly cut it back to nine. North Central responded with their third 7-0 run to close out the half with a 44-28 halftime lead. Faith opened the second half with a 5-0 run, but that was as close as they would get, as their cold shooting, and North Central's hot shooting was too much to overcome.
Tyler Betz led all scorers with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Dillon Gingerich added 14 points along with three steals. Cooper Rodman netted 10 points as well, while Eric Young grabbed three steals. Faith is off for a few days, before returning to action next Thursday, December 13, when they will host North Central at home in a 7:00 PM contest.
