Beenken Signs with Eagle's Women's Basketball
Miriam Beenken, from Ledyard, IA, has committed to the Eagle’s Women’s Basketball team, signing her letter of intent for the 2024-2025 season.
Ankeny, IA- Miriam is the daughter of Nate and Sandi Beenken and comes to the Eagles from coach Rick Meyer's basketball team at North Iowa. Miriam has been a valuable leader on her team, averaging 11 ppg, 12 rpg, 2 bpg, and shooting 35% fg and 70% ft. She has received her 3 year varsity letter and 2nd Team All- Conference her '21-'22 and '22-'23 seasons.
"We are so excited to have Miriam joining us in 2024," stated coach Zak Kirkman. "Miriam brings size and athleticism to this class and will be a great addition. She has a great touch around the rim and plays at a very high level. We look forward to getting Miriam on the court to make an impact on our team!"
When asked what Miriam is most looking forward to while attending Faith she said, "Spending time around other Christians in class and sports that are looking to grow in their faith and relationship with Christ." Miriam is also excited to be on the same basketball team as her sister. She will bring energy, leadership, and a love for the game to the team.
Miriam will pursue a degree in Organizational Leadership while at Faith.
