
Cross Country Finishes Strong at Home Meet
ANKENY, Iowa—The Faith Eagles cross country team saved the best for last with a home meet to finish the 2020 cross country regular season.
The Faith Eagles Invitational was held on Saturday, October 31, on Faith's campus, and the home course was just what freshman runner Emily Anderson needed to qualify for the National Meet in Point Lookout, Missouri in two weeks. Anderson finished in second place behind teammate Laney Jones with a time of 24:28.9, qualifying for Nationals in the last meet of the year. Jones won the race with a time of 23:44.4.
For the men, Josiah Brown finished second behind Isaac Pearson of Oak Hills with a time of 31:40.2. Zach Lobb finished with a personal-best time of 35:03.4, and Isaiah Crute finished with a time of 43:59.4.
Three of Faith's runners will compete at the NCCAA National Meet on November 14: Josiah Brown, Emily Anderson, and Laney Jones.
