Cross Country Season Begins Today for Faith Eagles
Coach Ryan Long and his all-new cast of runners will make their season debut today at the Central Invitational in Pella, Iowa.
This year's Eagles roster includes one freshman (Chelsea Ratliff), two sophomores (Emily Jo Taylor and Katlyn Holaday), one junior (Ryan Hughes), and one senior (Taylor England).
After sitting out last year, England is the lone Eagle with collegiate experience as a cross country participant, while two of the newest members of the Faith team boast accomplished resumes from high school. Holaday was a state qualifier in cross country at CAM High School in Anita, Iowa in 2015 and 2016. Ratliff was her high school's cross country MVP in 2014 and 2015 at Fabius-Pompey in Fabius, New York.
The Central Invitational is the first of seven events the Eagles will participate in this season.
