Women's Basketball Adds Crider
Faith Baptist Bible College added their newest addition to the 2017-2018 women's basketball recruiting class in 5'7" guard Michaela Crider. Michaela, a graduate of Ankeny Christian Academy, signed her letter of intent today to join the Eagles for the upcoming season.
Michaela led her team in scoring during her senior season, averaging 12 points per game for Ankeny Christian. Defensively, she brought in an average 6 rebounds per game. Michaela was named to 2nd Team All-Conference her junior year of high school, then improved to 1st Team All-Conference her senior year.
High school coach Crystal Metheny said she is going to miss what Michaela brought to her team. "Michaela had a lively spirit in practice and always made me laugh. I'm going to miss her attitude and leadership both on and off the court."
"Michaela works hard on both ends of the court," said Faith Head Coach Jack Arneson. "Her toughness on offense and defense will help us become more aggressive as a team. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to work with her this season and help her develop both as a person and a player."
Michaela is the daughter of Ken and Sharon Crider. She will be pursuing a degree in Elementary Education while she's at Faith.
