Runners Battle Through Weather at Dan Huston Invitational
WAVERLY, Iowa—The Faith Eagles participated in the Dan Huston Invitational in Waverly, Iowa, Saturday. The meet was hosted by Wartburg College and featured 22 schools from across the Midwest, including large universities like Drake and Washington University out of St. Louis.
After a delay to the start of the race due to the weather, the women's team received nice performances from Katlyn Holaday, who finished 115th out of 224 runners (26:53.5), Chelsea Ratliff, who finished 169th (28:55.1), and Charity Baker, who finished with a time of 35:10.6.
For the men's team, Ryan Hughes turned in a time of 32:05.8, followed by Josiah Brown with a time of 32:15.5, and Michael Sciranko, with a time of 33:26.3.
The Eagles return to action on Friday, October 11, at 4:30 p.m. at the Trent Smith Invitational in Mason City, Iowa.
