North Central University, the 7th ranked team in the country, used a quick start to propel themselves to a 5-0 victory over the Lady Eagles. Faith drops to 3-5-0 on the year and 0-2 in the region. The loss means Faith will be the #3 seed in the upcoming NCCAA II North Central Regional tournament, which will be hosted by Faith on November 7 and 8. Faith will face North Central in the semi-final round on the 7th, with kick off at 1 PM.
North Central jumped out on the Lady Eagles quickly, scoring their first goal in the first five minutes of the match. Six minutes later the Lady Rams scored again, and follwed their second goal up with a third goal one minute later to take a 3-0 lead just 12 minutes into the match. Faith settled down after that, but North Central would get one more before the half when the Eagles were called for a fould in the box, resulting in North Central receiving a penalty kick. North Central put the opportunity into the back of the net and took a 4-0 lead into the break. Faith would play better in the second half, but couldn't break through the North Central defense. The Rams would add one more for good measure in the 70th minute for the 5-0 final. North Central out shot Faith 18-5 in the match.
Faith will have a week to regroup before travelling to Des Moines for a scrimmage with Grand View Universities JV squad. The Lady Eagles next game will be at home on October 11, when they will host Robert Morriss - Lake County, at 1 PM.
