Yuan Sisters Shine at William Penn Invite
OSKALOOSA, Iowa—It's been a spring full of unpleasant weather in Iowa, and Friday was no different as the Eagles headed to Oskaloosa for the William Penn Invite. The wind, coupled with cold temperatures, made it difficult to be outside all day. Several team members were sick or out of town for Easter Weekend, so it was a smaller group competing.
The Eagles had two top-six finishes (and season PRs) for the day. Both were in the 400-meter hurdles event, set by the Yuan sisters. Kristin placed third with a time of 76.31, and Sharon placed fourth with a time of 79.75. The friendly sibling rivalry has been a great motivator for the pair this season.
The team is looking forward to the forecasted 70-degree temperatures this Saturday as they head to Grinnell College. Please pray for quick healing from shin splints that are plaguing several on the team.
